Our sister line: A call space for women of all communities.
THIS IS THE LINE.
A care space for Black women to return to joy. The Line is both literal, a phone call just for you, and symbolic, the invisible thread that connects Black women everywhere as we heal, laugh, and come home to ourselves together!
WHAT IS IT?
A call-in experience created for Black women who need a moment to breathe, release, or simply be heard by a fellow Black woman ready to listen, guide, and bring perspective to your situation. Life can hit hard. Work, family, friendships, dating, the world. It can all feel like too much. Sometimes, you just need to talk it out with someone who gets it. That’s why the Line exists.
We are not a crisis center. We're a Black women-led support line. Here, you can be heard, vent, laugh, and gain a fresh perspective. A little burst of self-care for your day.
WHY WOMEN ALL OVER THE U.S. ARE CALLING IN:
Real understanding: You’ll talk to a Black woman who actually gets it. The nuances, the micro-moments, the BTS of black womanhood.
Flexible and on-demand: Need 20 minutes, 45 minutes, or a full hour to process? You choose. You book. You show up when you need it.
Safe, private, and judgment-free: Everything stays between you and the Line. It’s your space to breathe.
More than a call: Sometimes you don’t need another journal prompt. The group chat don’t get it. ChatGPT’s “advice” ain’t hitting. You just need a real voice. Someone who listens, laughs with you, and helps you find your center again. That’s The Line.
What Makes Us Different?
When you book a call with the Happy Black Girl Line, that time is yours! Completely designated for you. It’s not a shared line, not a rotating queue, not a rushed conversation. It’s a private space where you can share, laugh, or just be heard, on your terms. Think of it as a mini mental retreat, a safe spot carved out just for your thoughts, feelings, and whatever’s on your mind.
A new kind of call space: there’s no urgency, no judgment, no script. Just real, honest conversation with a fellow Black woman. We created the Line because Black women deserve a space that’s ours. A place that’s caring, uplifting, and a little fun too. A spot that reminds you: you’re not alone, you’re valid, and your thoughts matter! So whether it’s a quick vent, a check-in, or just a few minutes of mental breathing room, we’re here. And honestly? We think you’re gonna love it!
FAQ's
“Why wouldn’t I just call my friend?”
You absolutely should talk to your friends. Community is crucial. Your people matter and we’re not trying to replace that.
A lot of women who call already have friendships, partners, group chats, community and even therapists. They still want something those spaces don’t always give them. They want: a neutral ear, a different perspective, a moment where they don’t have to reassure anybody back, someone who can help them get clarity quickly without history, bias, or old dynamics in the mix
And for women who don’t have a tribe or don’t have people who can hold the emotional weight of what they’re feeling, this space becomes that steady, grounded place they can land. This isn’t “instead of” your people.
It’s a different kind of support, centered entirely on you in that moment.
“What makes this different from venting to a stranger online?”
Baby… everybody has opinions. Everybody doesn’t have discernment. This isn’t random advice from somebody scrolling. It’s an intentional conversation with a Black woman who can help you slow down, hear yourself, and understand what’s really happening beneath the surface. No projection. No ego. No judgement.
Just grounded support with real clarity behind it.
“What actually happens on the calls?”
You bring whatever’s on your heart and we move from there. We talk, reflect, break things down, explore what’s underneath, and help you find clarity you can actually feel. It’s supportive, grounding, and pressure-free.
Not therapy and not crisis care. Just real guidance in real time.
“Why does it cost money?”
Because Black women deserve to be compensated for the emotional support we’ve been giving for free our entire lives. This is dedicated, intentional care. Not a quick DM. Not a comment section. It’s an accessible, low-pressure way to get real support without signing up for long-term coaching or something you’re not ready for.
“What makes the Happy Black Girl Line special?”
It’s created specifically for Black women, our humor, our exhaustion, our strength, our softness, and our whole human experience. You don’t have to translate. You don’t have to over-explain. You’re understood from the moment you show up.
“Why does it matter that it’s run by a Black woman?”
Because some things just land differently when you’re talking to someone who instinctively understands the weight and the nuance. It’s the ease. The familiarity. The intuition. The quick “I got you” energy. You don’t have to start from scratch.
“What about the group chat? How is that different from a call?”
The group chat is shared community energy. Support, connection, conversation, and that “girl, same” feeling. The call is personal. Private. Focused entirely on you. It gives you the space to go deeper without being in front of an audience. They serve two completely different needs.
“Is this therapy?”
No. It’s not therapy or crisis support. It’s a grounding, reflective conversation that helps you understand what you’re feeling and what you might want to do next.
